A discoverable is an explorable zoomed out — a whole domain in one pokeable view. Its boundaries and connotations show you the doors; you pick the one that fits your world and walk through into the detail.
It's the same species as an explorable, just at a higher altitude: enough to make you notice there's something here worth knowing, and to point at where to go in. It never decides for you which door is yours.
